Well, it’s déjà vu all over again all over again all over… Okay, I’ll stop now. (Plus: Make a new joke, Mike.) Just on the heels of my Firebird Book and PenCraft Book Award wins, I recently learned that Is There Life After College? won Third Place at The Fall 2026 BookFest Awards in the same category of Young Adult Romance! My other three books, Danger Peak, Déjà View, and The Electric God and Other Shorts, also won BookFest awards in the past in their own respective categories. Is There Life After College? is my first book to win in every award competition I submitted it for, and while it would’ve of course been nice to win First Place as my other recent award wins, it should be noted that The BookFest is the largest award competition I entered for this book, so there were many more entrants to compete against. Hey, at least I didn’t receive an Honorable Mention. 😊
Once again, I’m grateful my work was recognized. I’ve already updated the Is There Life After College? homepage with the award seal.
I apologize for two blogs in a row, folks, but I swear this almost never happens. I know I said that last time, but new blog subscribers can ask the old subscribers, and they will confirm this to be true. Late fall is usually book award season, which is why I had three book award blogs in a row. It beats not winning and not posting anything about it. 😊 Since I didn’t enter Is There Life After College? into any more award competitions, this is it for award blogs. I promise my next one will be about something different.
